WHERE: M Shed.

Museum with exhibitions about the history and inhabitants of this city.

WHEN: 20 July - 30 October 2022

WHAT: "Think Global. Act Bristol"

Historical objects help to highlight the impact of Bristol’s industrial, colonialist past on the challenges of today. Enviromental challenges are explored throughout art, video interviews with experts and community members. There are also interactive elements where you can add your voice to the conversation.

FASHION CORNER

As you can see in the images below, there was a corner dedicated to the impact of the fashion industry.

Fashion is the second most polluting industry of the world. There is a big issue and something must be done to change it.

In this space people were sharing tips about this topic and you can find new ideas to put into practice in your life.

These are some of the Fashion tips:

-BUY SECOND HAND (Vinted, second hand clothes markets...)

-DONATE OR EXCHANGE (with your friends and family)

-REPAIR CLOTHES

-TAKE CARE OF YOUR CLOTHES

-THINK BEFORE BUYING (Am I going to wear it frequently? Does it match with the rest of my clothes?)

And you? What would you do to make your live a little bit more sustainable?

GREEN SPACES

Did you know spending 10 minutes in nature keeps your stress levels under control?

According to a study by a team of researchers at Cornell University spending 10 minutes in nature has great benefits to reduce the effects of physical and mental stress.

Green and built up areas in Bristol

As a Green capital it is, Bristol has over 400 gardens and parks to spend a lazy afternoon, having lunch or just taking a walk, and I can assure it: I have seen many people of all ages spending time at them!

In the exhibition, there was a corner where you could share green places and how do you feel surrounded by trees:

What's your green place to re-start your body and mind?

I felt Bristol was a city that lets you breathe because every 5 or 10 minutes walking there is a green space!
