One of the most sustainable way to travel is by train. Yes... it's a long journey, but you can take it as a part of the experience!
Barcelona (Sants) - Paris (Gare de Lyon)
This is the longest part of the trip (6 hours), but once you have arrived at Gare de Lyon train station, you can go by foot to Gare du Nord and in the way take the chance to visit museums or emblematic monuments.
There is an hour walking between the two stations, but it's your choice if you want to stay there for few hours or maybe spend the night in the city of the lights, the art and... oui, Oui, mon ami : de l'amour!
Paris (Gare du Nord) - London (St. Pancras)
Have you ever crossed the sea by train? Now, this is your opportunity!
Eurostar is the only high speed train that directly links UK with France and Belgium via the Channel Tunnel. They take travellers from city centre to city centre, and have been since 1994. In two hours of travel you will have exchanged French croissants for British tea!
London (St. Pancras) - Bristol ( Temple Meads)
There is little left to reach the final destination! Two hours by train separate these two great cities. Just like in Paris, in London you can also make a stop and see what's on.
It is true that this way of traveling it's not the cheapest one, so you will have to prepare the trip some time ago and have a sharp eye to find accommodation offers.
In my case, I decided to stay one night in London before going to Bristol.
If you are an open minded person and you don't mind to sleep in a room with random people, I recommend you to stay in hostels like Prime Backpackers Angel (333 City Rd, London EC1V 1LJ, UK) where you can find offers from 20,52£ per night (23€/night).
In my case, I slept in an 8-bed female dormitory.
But before going to dinner, I wanted to take advantage of my stay in London and visit an art exhibition. To find what's on in the city, I took a glance at timeout.com/london and also at feverup.com/london . I am keen on art, fashion and culture!
